I work with women throughout their pregnancy offering nurturing Prenatal massage. Prenatal massage is vitally important for all stages of pregnancy because it nourishes the mother who is giving so much energetically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually to develop her growing baby.
As with all of my massage treatments, we begin with a cup of herbal tea, footbath, and intake. After we discuss your invidividual needs, we will begin the massage, which is given in three phases. First, you’ll begin in a left side-lying position to receive back body massage. I’ll prop you with bolsters and pillows so that you feel fully supported, which will encourage your body, mind, and nervous system to relax. Then, you’ll transition to your right side. After, with the support of a wedge cushion, and bolster for your legs, you’ll lie down on your back, to receive the foot massage, front body massage, as well as head, neck, and shoulder massage.
I work work with women throughout the Seattle area. As a doula for more than 20 years, as well as pre-and-postnatal yoga instructor, I have had teh privilege of working with pregnant women, their babies, and their partners during this sacred, but also, very demanding time of life. Prenatal massage is a beautiful gift to give to yourself and someone you know who is pregnant.
